North Arlington, NJ dad charged with murder of 2-month-old daughter

NORTH ARLINGTON — A 27-year-old borough man has been charged with murder, stemming from the death of his newborn daughter from injuries sustained last month, Bergen County District Attorney Mark Musella announced.

North Arlington police received a 911 call on Dec. 23 around 6:30 p.m. from a resident of 505 Schuyler Ave. who said their 2 month old daughter was not breathing.

The baby was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center and investigators determined Aaron Medrano caused injuries that led to his baby being hospitalized.

According to a criminal complaint filed in the case.

A week later, he was first arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated assault and second-degree endangerment of the welfare of a child.

He now faces two counts of first-degree murder and was being held in Bergen County Jail, pending his first court appearance in Hackensack.
